The Sinai Wildlife Project has just opened a new animal emergency treatment centre in El Hadaba in space donated by the Amr Sinai Hotel. Time is of the essence when dealing with accidents, poisonings and emergency cases and now, from the Amr Sinai clinic, Dr. Jim Dinsmore reckons he’s less than 5 minutes away from both main residential areas of El Hadaba and Hay El Noor . The new centre is equiped with oxygen, cardiac monitors and all neccesary equipment needed to stabilise an injured or poisoned animal before moving it to their main treatment facility at Coral Bay. Working for the last 9 years in Sharm, the SWP survives on the generosity of local individuals, businesses, grants from the European Government and support from the local law enforcement agencies, customs and tourist police. Guess who provides the poison.
